Hello. I tried looking for the answer for this question, but did not find what I was looking for. I have a 97 Civic EX with 190,000 miles on it, it has a D16Y8 engine, it's an automatic, I would like to put a newer engine in it, preferably something with more kick, but nothing too crazy where I have to change a lot of parts to withstand the extra power, it's my daily driver, my budget Is under 4 grand. I'm not looking for a race car, just something with *****. Can someone suggest a engine or two that would be a good choice, please be specific, I'm not familiar with Honda engines, I'm more familiar with 305s and 350s for my Camaro.
