Default dc2 rpm problems

I don't know if this is normal for a type r but the rpm doesn't drop lower than 2000 rpm every time i shift it to neutral until the car comes to a complete stop. Please tell me if this is normal if not please tell me what's wrong. Thanks.

My stock 98'R stays around 1200 untill a complete stop then drops to normal idle. I wouldnt worry about it. It's been a common thing in every Honda I've owned.

What 92vxr said. Even my 2011 Accord does the same thing. It seems to be an anti-stall setting. I would imagine a Type R would read higher as they are rev-happy engines.

It's not "normal" but mine sometimes does it too. I think it may be the idle control valve, but it only happens occasionally and doesn't bother me enough to research it further or spend $200+ on a replacement.

My first thought, like others, would be the setting for "rolling idle" in what ever(if any) tuning software is in the car. IACV is also a definite possibility.
