Hey guys,
my stock fuel pressure regulator went out and I replaced it with an adjustable one I had lying around

Where should I set it at? My engine s a sohc zc carb with my a6 parts
stock internals except a 9 lb flywheel
I remember my stock unit would put out 38 with vacuum hose detached (measured at rail) recently it dropped to 34

My manual says 40-50
and a manual I found online says 36 so I am a bit lost
Just let me know where you think it should be, where yours is.

with a disconnected vacuum line you should be between 33 and 39 psi according the Helm manual.

 

sounds good, will measuring at the fuel rail rather than at the fuel filter change anything?

39 sounds about right to me, too.

 

found a chilton manual at the library;
it read 35-41, disconnected vacuum
