B18B1 Spun Bearing, whats my options
I have a B18B1 that spun a bearing, initially I was going to see if was still in spec, and replace the rod bearings of possible, but it scored the crankshaft on #3....whats my options here so I can still profit from it. Part it?
I currently have it on an engine stand.

id run to the local pick a part and pull a crank. theres at least ten at my local pick a part. or take it to a machine shop and see if it can be fixed but i bet it will cost more than pick a part. profiting from a bare ls block is going to be difficult unless you got it for free. my local junkyard sell complete engines for 175 and blocks for 100 so theres not a huge margin to charge someone and you still turn a dime.
You can part it depending on the condition of your parts or you can just get another crank. It's not too hard to tell if the crank is toast using you finger, but it's not a bad idea to take it to a machine shop and have them take a look at it. You could probably sell the bare block for $50? The bare block would probably be the only thing I'd buy if I was looking.
it was free, so it's all profit at this point. if I can get it running for under $100, i'll do that, an put it in a shell. or just part it an quit while i'm ahead.
Buy another crank. They go on here for like $50. Or get the crank cut .10-.25 under and get .10-.25 over bearings. I had to do that with my 4g63 crank.

it's not a "want" per say, just that I've being seeing B20 cranks also, if it will work also, it then becomes why not? not trying to build a race car, just a reliable motor, if there's a downside i'm missing, let me know.
