Default planning bolt ons

Top o the marnin to ya lads. I have a 98 V6 4dr. I was just browsing ebay and came across some very nice looking exhaust systems for CRAZY cheap.Like this one and I also found a cat-back system in similar price, I just dont like the mufflers - N1 style.

I was wondering if its a case of you get what you pay for or if its really a quality unit.

I also am looking for a full body kit - NOT JUST A LIP KIT - that looks as SIMPLE as possible, like a smoother version of stock. I have seen one I LOVED and forgot to bookmark it. No giant holes, wavy overdrawn lines, no huge spoiler, no park bench rear bumper...I am a former mk3 Supra owner and love the sleek sleeper look.

Thanks for any links and advice.

I don't think you're going to have very much luck here. most people don't modify these cars and most, i'd say 90% do not like body kits. Those headers you linked don't seem to have a much larger diameter than stock, so I can't imagine they would give you any performance gains. And since the car is an automatic, that doesn't leave much in the way of tuning or chipping the ECU.

I think you'd have more fun with suspension first. Get some coilovers or a good shock/spring combo, a strut bar, rear sway, etc. Then the wheels and tires. I think you'd enjoy it more. I had an intake and exhaust on a 2000 4 cyl auto. It made more noise and only marginal power.

Thanks, I assumed the ebay kits were not worth it but didnt know the specs of the stock pipes. I am planning a manual swap in the future. But for now the trans works, lets not break it.

There are full supercharger and single turbo kits for the J30, I know it will take time to build. I already have a load of suspension work to do to get the front right wheel back to center and replace bumpers and paint it. I like the idea of having an atypical modded Honda. It's no track star but I like things better than stock. I have a 95 Prelude VTEC as well I have to get running again too but that needs major surgery.

I got the Accord to have a car that can get out of its own way with ease and fit my family as well. So far so good, but the call of power gains is hard to ignore when I know they are easily had.
