Are the headlights supposed to be ON all the time? I turn on the switch for the headlights and the brightness of the headlights didn't change...

Does my car have some kind of a dawn/dusk sensor or something?

yeah I'm in Canada and yes it's a Cdn civic.

Yes I do understand the recent cars have DRL's but shouldn't the DRL be running off the hi-beam bulb and at a low voltage?

From what I can see on my car, I don't see a difference in brightness when I flick the switch.
