Default my homemade turbo kit

i purchased an RHB5 IHI turbo from an 88 Subaru. No shaft play, awesome! The guy also made me an adapter plate and dsm bov w/ tube. next, starion i/c. at the junky i got a manifold. oil lines, etc etc etc!! i proceeded to mount it... not so bad. its all ghetto and ****. look on my site. i posted the pics and stufff.... lemme know wassup.....

also. no injectors yet. waiting for them in the mail and i just received the AFC .... need new gasket for the turbo to manifold, kinda blew today... it was a homemade gasket.........................

Is it just me, or do you homemade turbo guys love porting out your turbos in that "special" way...? You and the guys from http://www.homemadeturbo.com get it on more with your cars than most guys do with their girlfriends.



And congrats on the install. RHB5 dominates the small terboughs.

i have the same exact setup as you. pulls pretty hard. hit full boost at around 2.5 rpm. im boosting 6 rite now with no problem and its been a year already. hope you have fun with your setup. tell us how it feels.

what boost is the wastegate set to? Do you have any pics of just the turbo? if so, will you post'em up with a line showing which is the oil feed, and which is the oil drain?

i tried it out the other day..... hit 4psi. =\ blew off ... ehh... and w/e. its running faster than stock.. considering no injectors yet. anywho. the wastegate is said to be at 7-8psi. prolly b/c my gasket was leaking it wasnt hitting full boost.... ill update u guys.

Is the RHB5 the same as a RHB52????? I have the RHB52 it's off an RS subaru legacy =2L boxer engine the proper code is IHIVF8 This the same turbo ???????

yes.. D15B7.

and the RHB5 is from an '88 Subaru 1.8 GL Wagon. might be the same its an IHI.. dont know the rest...?????????????

I think the RHB5 is probably a smaller turbo then the RHB52 meself. Thanks for your thoughts.
