Would someone who has swapped out the head lamp switch inside the steering column explain what is involved please?

 

remove airbag, making sure to follow the "discharge" procedure.
remove steering wheel, remove plastic cover over steering column, then unbolt/disconnect the switch.
its a fair bit of hassle, i recommend getting a helm manual or at least a chiltons/haynes.

 

Pretty easy job, no need to remove airbag. Refer to post # 4 in the following thread:

This is when having no airbag comes in real handy.

Yeah, and it's not real hard at all. Just make sure you take all the screws out and use a magnetic bowl so you don't lose them.
