I'm looking into buying new wheels and I read that most aftermarket wheels are tapered/acorn seats. For my '97 Civic I'm on stock wheels right now and my lugs are ball seats. I know that they are 12x1.5 and my question is, what is the length? Here is a picture for example. It says 1.36" but I'm not sure how long stock ones are or how long my studs are. I don't want to tighten a nut and it stops because it's to short and I have more thread left to tighten. I hope I made sense.

 

You're worrying for nothing. I've NEVER heard of that happening nor has it ever happened to me.
