which oil do you preffer?
i have a four door se integra with the stock ls b181 motor and i also have a gsr.
I usually use castrol edge and a fram oil filter. But i recently read about special honda oil for our cars. so with that said im asking what oil do you use and filter.
Also any special treatment do you do at oil changes?

i use mobile1 5w30 conventional with a NAPA oil filter or a K and N oil filter.
i Have a 95 integra GS 4 door with a B20z swap n i found that this oil looses its viscosity slower and it stays clean longer.

Whatever is on sale.... Just to let you know its better to change your oil every 2000-3000 miles than to buy the expensive **** and wait 5000 miles.
Usually penzoil but recently went with mobil since i see all the ads on forza 4

mobil 1, pennzoil platinum or valvoline synpower. all 5w30.
i'm currently still running mobil 1 because i had bought two cases of it last year ($24 for a case of 6 qt).
i've been through pennzoil platinum and valvoline synpower also. I'm probably going to go back to synpower in the future.

First of all, if it didn't have synthetic when it was born, then it does NOT need it.
Valvoline, Mobil 5000, Kendal, Havoline. I've used all of these oils with no issues. I've ran Valvoline/Mobil 5000 in my 01' Accord and it has 300,000 on the original engine. 10w30 is my weapon of choice btw, for the Civic and the Eggcorn.

personally i run mobil1 5w30 full sythetic for the last 75000 miles...dont ask me why because i cannot provide any real reason why other than thats what i buy and pour in...now i have noticed that royal purple tends to make the engine just a tad quieter...iv experimented with that too but at 9.49 a quart i steer clear. theres a thread on here somewhere about oils and amsoil and royal purple with scientific backing but im lazy so you will have to dig it up.
i like to pour in a quart of heavy duty lucus oil stabalizer with my oil. and usually run a oz of seafoam in my used oil for about ten minutes b4 i drain it just to help break up gunk.
For filters, stay away from Fram. They are known to be cheaply made out of paper, you can youtube this for a reference. There are guys on there that cut open the filter to prove it to you.
Try to go for a good quality filter such as Purolator PureOne, Bosch, Napa Gold (WIX), Mobil1, K&N, Royal Purple. If you're on the cheap side that do conventional every 3k, a regular purolator, motorcraft or Supertech will do. Supertech filters cant beat for the price, they are only $3 a pop and are made by Champ. Labs.
As for oil, I have never heard of any "special oil" for our cars. Just follow the recommended weight (5w30) and oil of your choice. We all to stick with different brands.

speaking of seafoam i need to do that again...its been about 50k since the last time...but as far as mobil1 keeping my engine clean i beg to differ. this past saturday i changed my oil after replacing oil pan gasket...next day had to drop pan again because i had a pin hole in my oil pan caused by my header rubbing it and had to weld it shut. so i drained the oil after putting roughly 20 miles on it and it was black not as the ace of spades but trasparentish black.
Changing oil at 2,000 miles.... It doesn't matter what oil u use that is a waste. Regular oil is good up to 5,000 sometimes even more. Synthetic is good for 10,000 plus.
Also, if your boosted, you should replace your oil every 2000-3000 miles. That turbo heat is unnatural for oil
EDIT:
10w30, never went anything else. Ive heard 5w30 and I might switch since canada gets cold and I could use a lower cold viscosity.
i like sunflower oil, good for fried potatoes
sometimes i add it to my engine for better exhaust fumes smell
but for the regular driving i use 0w30 synthetic.
