will my rims (volk racing le37t) get scratched or damage if i let a shop do an alignment? or can i go without gettin an alignment, but i heard it slowly eats up the treadwear on the inside of the rims. i need some advice!

 

You might need an alignment or fix the camber if you lower your car. Changing the wheels should not affect either of these.

take it to a good shop... not a ghetto place... if they scratch it u can prolly scare them into buying u new ones by threatening to sue them....

 

Your rims will not get scratched from an alignment, if you change the rim size or curb riding height (springs, coil overs) then you need an allignment but changing these things will caise premature tire wear.

 

Tell them to be very careful and take pics of each wheel before you go to the shop. We always took very good care of the higher end cars.
