Today on the way home I noticed the "trunk open" indicator on the dash was on. When I got home I made sure the trunk was closed. The light also does not shut off either when the trunk is closed so I think there must be some sort of connector in the trunk latch itself.

Anyone know how to fix?

Pull the connector off the trunk latch. Check for continuity on the pins in both the open and closed position......should be no continuity when closed.

 

Thank you! After all the snow we just had melted I was able to pull the connector and found that there was a little corrosion between the connector and the latch. I cleaned it up and it's all good.
