i have a eg hatch and im swapping my itr 5 lug on soon. looking to run the OEM itr rims. but looking for a very very slight stretch. just enough to help with any rubbing. im not slammed and not looking for the"hellaflush" look.

and ideas? would i be better going with a 15x7 rim with slight stretch?

car is a daily/weekend warrior autox.

thanks

since i do auto x this every so often, would the slight stretch be a bad idea?

i know it gives a slight less traction with the stretch, but is it alot if minimal?

i will be running 2-3 negative camber

First off, what exactly is a "slight stretch"? Either the tire is approved for the wheel size, or it isn't.

Second, threads about stretched tires aren't allowed in here.

You're running OEM DC2 IT-R wheels WITH negative camber? You won't need any stretch what so ever for that setup. Heck, even with 0 degrees of camber, you wouldn't need to run a stretched tire.

Well, that's not accurate information. Running a properly sized tire for your car's weight, as well as to match the factory diameter, is a far better approach to increasing grip/handling. Also, running a softer compound tire will increase the car's handling characteristics.

Currently, I'm almost at the narrowest width wheel I can run for my tire setup (exact opposite of "stretching" a tire) and have been quite happy with the results, when compared to tires of a narrower section width.
