Default Racing Seat Bracket Safest/Strongest

I got a new seat in my CRX, for now I just used the universal sliders but after hearing from some people they aren't that safe. Since I don't move the seat around that much I thought I could just make it fixed in place. Here are my options, let me know the best was (as far as strength/safety).

-Use my OBX seat brackets (bolt to stock locations) and use a couple 1/8" steel plates to bolt the seat to the plates and then to the seat brackets. That seems like the easiest way.

-Cut out the seat rail (on the floor) and just use some 1/8" or 1/4" steel plates to make a square shape, bolt the plates to the seat and then the plates directly to the floor. Seems like that would stiffen the floor.

-Cut out the seat rail and use a big 1/8" or 1/4" steel plate (one big square of it), and bolt the seat to that and bolt that to the floor. That would really stiffen up the floor and give me a good place to weld some brackets to bolt my harness to, but add alot of weight.

These seats are some Scat Procar seats, fixed back and bottom mount (no side mount). These are the seat brackets I'm talking about.

Hi is it a street car? That bracket you show looks plenty strong.

If you cut out the seat mount/cross brace you can't just mount the seat to the floor as that cross brace stiffens the floor so when you remove it the floor becomes super flimsy. The way to do it if you remove the crossbrace is to use some 1" square tube , one in front and back , run it accross from the rocker, weld/connect to floor and then to tunnel and you can mount your seat to that.

The stock mount/crossbrace is like thin sheet metal spot welded in place. Unless you are building race car where you want to mount it fixed or need it low on the floor I would be ok with the universal mount. Just check out if the welds are clean.

Yeah, Street/race (mostly street). Don't care much about comfort, would rather be safe. That is a good idea with the square tube, seems stronger than the stock setup and should make it easy to bolt the seat down. I think I might just use the OBX brackets I have and make an adapter to make it fixed in place for now, then I can always make it stronger down the road.
