It's pretty easy..
Prep the valve cover and paint it what ever color you want with high temp paint let dry for like 12 hrs

Fill a container with water

Drop paint on top of water and it will start separating. Do this with all the colors you want to use. **I used car paint that I had extra from other jobs don't know if spray paint would work**

Use a tooth pick or anything thin to pull the paint and make swirls or any design you like.

The just dip the valve cover at a 45 degree slow.

Hold it under water with one hand and use a newspaper or your hand to take the rest of the leave over paint off the top of the water..

Pull it up and you will have the design on the cover.

Use a blow dryer to get the water off the paint ..

Then let dry for at least a day. Or put in the oven at 175 degrees for like 20 min and then leave for around 12 hrs

Looks terrible. I think you could have spilled paint all over it and it would have looked the same. Sorry.

I actually like it but I'd try perhaps a different color scheme and some more experimentation with patterns.
