92 Accord Oil Cooler leaking
This forum was great last time I had a problem. Now I'm back with a different one.
Title of the post pretty much says it all. It's a 92 Accord Ex 2.2L.
Been searching thru the forum already and found most of what I needed to know to change the oil cooler o-ring.
The only thing I can't find anywhere is the torque spec for the 30mm nut that secures the oil cooler.
I've searched to net, searched the forum and even went to the library yesterday to look at the manual. They didn't have Chilton or Haynes, Just a combined manual from Mitchell covering all Japanese makes/imports for that year but it didn't have it either.
So if anyone knows, or has access to the correct torque spec for the oil cooler, please help me out here. I need to get this this done and that's the only thing really holding me up. No car = no work and money is already tight so any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure it's tight, lol.
To be honest I would not worry to much about it but since it's a 30mm nut, I would assume 25 ft. lbs of TQ
.
Ultimately just make sure it's tight and snug, not OVERLY tight where you end up striping and break the damn thing.

Thanks for the reply, but still hoping someone has the actual torque spec.

Someone out there has to know.

I called the local dealership early today and the guy said he would call me back later with the info. By mid afternoon I totally forgot about it and he called back a little while ago. He said it's 27 ft. lbs. and to use locktite.
I will never doubt you again.
You Sir, are most definitely worthy of
Got it done today. Was actually pretty easy. A little harder getting the oil cooler back on, then it was getting it off. Only because the o-ring wouldn't stay in place. Finally got it though.
Thx for the help.
