Tranny issues..
Ok so my friend has lsv integra..he jst baught a b16 tranny. when we installed it the gears were hard to engage ,so he asked the guy who he baught it from ..he told him it didn't have tranny fluid ..maybe that was case bc tranny worked fine, he jst upgraded to LSD b16 .we went to o reillys & idk why he baught some cheap tranny fluid he said jst incase tranny was bad didn't wanna spend alot on it if it was. anyways he asked someone that worked there which to get they told him to use auto/Manuel gear lubricant which he baught master pro chemicals GL-5 80w-90. when he put tranny fluid, gears were starting to slowly go in ..well whenever we installed everything he started car up..he was going to reverse it wouldnt go in so idk he went into 5th & didnt wanna come out ..if he let go of clutch you cld hear a small grind . he had to have clutch in whole time, he baught new tranny fluid syncromesh & drained out the other & filled with new eventually it popped out 1,2,3 & reserse worked & 4th & 5th were hard to go into & come out of. he noticed that when he had in neutral there would be a small grind?? Any ideas?? Also he started up car he had heard a loud pop noise like gun shot ..he checked block to see if he had any hole he didnt he then heard it another time..he thinks it might from old gas sitting in there any suggestions?

Please, go to school and learn to use a period. It's almost impossible to get through what you wrote. Why did he not run regular old manual trans fluid? It could be numerous things. As for the pop, where did it come from? If it sounds like it's in the exhaust, it was most likely a backfire from fuel burning up. That could be too much fuel being dumped or it not burning right.
