Default NHRA sereis next year created a sport FWD class

I guess guys the finally listned to all the complaints

Sport FWD New category
Front-wheel drive only
Power adders/weight limitations
"Heads-up" racing
Event winners only

Plus they created a PRO_FWD category finally we dont have to run against RWD cars in the Modified class anyore such as stephs..

Now at least my new car will won have to compete against all these modified guys..

Thats really great news. When the NHRA says a car in the Sport FWD Class must be Street Legal, will that class be able to use Slicks?

They need a heads-up all-motor street class....

Kinda like Battle does, Street Performance

Exact rules will be released in the next couple of weeks.
BTW, I hear Steph is previewing at SEMA a rwd car. Honda I assume.

a street legal, heads up, FWD class could get quite interesting. I think one of the things discouraging all the fast street cars from coming out is the fact that they have to run bracket and race against stock ford focus' an crap. not worth my 50$ entry fee. will it be slicks or street tire? street tire might get boring as the fastest cars in the class will only be running 12.1's haha.

Where do they stick the AWD cars? And are they getting rid of the street tire class?

That is what they should do, I emailed them to see what the **** is up.

Anyway I'm very happy they made the sport fwd class that should be very fun to watch you guys. I'm curious as to what type of tire they will allow. What is the fastest most guys have run on regular drag radials not et streets or slicks?
