Default Turbohatchsoontobecoupe build... 96Gsr

I got back some time so I figured ill build this motor finally and make some more powa!
I've had this motor for about 4 years 2 boosted soo I think some pistion and rods are gonna finally make its way in.
This motor was boosted last year and made 350 to the wheels can't rember exactly but it ran good and never gave me prooblems. Ill post up some pics of what I'm doing now and along the way as it makes its journey into the hx coupe I have. It gets about 40mpg as is but it needs more *****. I took apart my harness and resleaved it its about half way done heres the pics.

The old motor

Then I thought I bent some some valves after changing my headgasket. Turns out my studs are stretched.
Heres the head fresh from the shop. Romay head repair on olympic in commerce of anyone wants to know where to take a head and get good results.

heres the block

My ported manifold I plan to port alot more and smoothen out everything I could..

My harness before

After

Hahahaha, don't worry about the dollar man. I'm always glad to help . Have you selected that blue box & has you message screen changed ? I've never used flickr to be honest, i use photobucket. It maybe better off if you just upload them directly from your pc/laptop. That is unless someone else can chime in ?

with flickr its kind of harder to the get the url, so what i do is click on the image so it blows up with the gray screen. right click and click a size. then right click on the image and get the url. then just post it in between the code

The stock manifold? Will you be opening it up and porting the plenum as well? or just the runners?

Yeah I ported it before. I removed the whole section with the butter flies and got smaller bolts and ported the chambers inside the manifold. And I ported the inlet but I can take off alot more material in certain areas and I got a new bit to use so ima have at it some more. Ill take pics swhen I have ot apart.
The valves are stock it has rocket valve springs and ferrea valve guides other than that its stock.

Damn...agressive looking lol

Do you plan to smooth it out a little after using that bit? like use that to cut away then another to get it semi smooth.

Very sweet...i saw info about when you max out the port design on the gsr manifolds i beleive it flows the same cfms or just a LITTLE less than the performer x, i would take on the diy but i work so much and never have time so ill just end up buying a manifold for my turbo gsr. But hats off to you

Yeah its a carbide bit. I have a couple others ilk use too.
These manifolds flow pretty good. I made good numbers with it my last tune so I didnt see a reason to upgrade just yet. Ill post pics tonight with the progress I make.
