Bout to buy a k20a2 short block for my DA how much will it cost to piece together? I'm getting the shortblock for 200 is that a good deal?

Haven't picked it up yet waiting for my pay check.. But it's not going anyware my body has it..

 

Why are you just going to buy the bottom end? It would cost so much more to piece it together with head, wiring harness, trans, ecu, manifolds, fuel injectors/rail, mounts, belts/accesories, everything. Just buy a complete swap.

200 is a good deal, but it's everything else that is gonna run the price way up.

 

Oh ok I thought I could find a head and intake manifold all complete like it just got pulled off is that difficult? And how much does a complete k20a2 cost hole swap I mean?

 

About 3-5k. But it's a lot easier than trying to find EVERY little piece to put the motor completely together.

complete swaps for k24's sell on hmotors for 3800....long blocks are 800

 

Buy it and sell it for $600, it will probably sell fast, and you made a $400 profit, that much closer to buying a full swap.

 

You're buying the cheapest piece of the swap. Spend a little time researching all the other required parts.

By short block, do you mean literally just the block, or the complete motor? If just the block, then yeah, everything else will be a lot more expensive.

 

Just the bottom end, I'm assuming assembled.

 

Yea assembled, I think I will by it and put on craigslist then..

 

Dont waste your money... dont know how many parts i have in my garage that i bought cus it was a good price and never used or intend to use.

Buy something for your DA and get you a nice steak dinner on friday instead , or drinks at the bar
