Default My 91 HF project

hey HT, i figured it would be time to start a build thread cause everyone else has and if you love your honda, you'll end up doing it too lol. So here we go, i picked up this little HF gem around thanksgiving of 2011. it was in pretty rough shape but i had to have her considering the MPG's. For some reason the guy took off the moldings and bondoed up everything , theres a considerable amount of rust aswell but everything starts from the bottom. Heres a few pics of when i first picked her right up

unfort for me honda discontinued oem hoods for the crx so i was out of luck with that. Im not a big fan of carbon kevlar and the prices for carbon fiber hoods was a little ridiculous. After searching for a year and a day for a hood i finally came across one in middletown NY for 60 bucks. i couldn't complain one but it was in mint condition and already primmed. Along with the hood i ordered new hood hinges from honda since the old ones broke from before. 86.95 for both

The rims that came on the car didnt look to bad since thet were aem but i eventually switched over to steelies with fresher tires for the winter. A friend of mine was selling rims he owned for 9 years that he originally bought with his ek coupe. There 15' rims but i dont know the exact name of what there called but heres a pic and the color i decided to paint them eventually.

i'd say do a proper swap, nothing ridicoulus just maybe a B16 or maybe a D16z6 and keep it modest. Just Headers, exhaust and that small stuff. think that would be great :D

I am trying to figure out the wheels to. If I remeber correctly they are optional for 1999-2000 Si's. They look nice too.

Finally got the new windsheild which was very much needed, that car looked so much better. Heres a few pics
Heres the brand new one ready to go in

old ones coming out

The windsheild basically fell apart once we started pulling it out, it was in such bad shape

taking the last pieces of little glass left and weathering strips

new one goes in to a nice finish
