Default 90 sedan body repair questions

On my sedan, I have a horrible quarter panel, but don't have the means to replace entire panel, nor do i want to invest the time.

I got the whole car for about $450, running perfect, all stock, automatic, perfect commuter but now I want to restore it to a point. I've run into some snags with the quarter panel, want to get advice on how to pull this dent out from the inside.

I've started with some dent pulling and bondo, haven't sanded down yet because i need to build up a little more.

It going to happen... You could get a stud welder and slide hammer it out a bit. It's still going to be loaded with "Bondo" and will be a weak repair. That thing is pretty messed up to even attempt a repair - I personally would just replace the quarter panel. On a vehicle this cheap and that much damage it's not worth the time, money (even just for tools and equipment), or investment; in my opinion.

For the amount of money i got the car for, I dont want to invest the time and effort into replacing the quarter panel. All i'm doing on this car is getting the body straight, replacing the IAT sensor, doing what i've done before when it comes to the paint, drop on some sleeve type coils and be done with it.

I personally dont mind if there is bondo on the car, its not going to be that much assuming I get this dent pulled out.

I was thinking of drilling a couple of holes and making something to pull it out.

You can do it the "ghetto" way by drilling holes. Rent a slide-hammer and most of them come with attachments that enable you to our a screw in the end. Then you should be able to pull them out that way.

yea I think I'm going that route, I'm pretty good with bondo and paint so I should be fine. Like I said, the initial investment wasn't a lot of money, so neither will the repair. Good enough to get rid of the dent and smooth it out.

This is more of a project for me, doing it just to do it, rather than having some high expectations. I'm thinking about trying the AT to MT swap also.
