oil restrictor removal for zc block?
Ok I did the mini me swap and read many forums, some state with zc block to pull it some dont, anyways.... Is this a problem? Anyone know difference between having one in and out? Location?
Depends on which specific ZC block you have. I'm under the assumption you are using a non VTEC SOHC ZC since you referenced a mini me conversion. If you actually read many forums I'm quite surprised you didn't see a picture of the oil jet. It's located between #2 and #3 cylinder on the intake side of the blocks mating surface with the head (I'm assuming you had seen it and hopefully pulled it out). All the engines essentially have them, main difference here for your specific situation, both the block and the head have one. Non VTEC engines have it located in the block (88-95) while the VTEC engines have it in the head. If you run both I believe that I had read somewhere that you won't have sufficient pressure to activate VTEC but I don't have first hand experience with that.
