I was driving in the highway 3 days ago and the 5th gear popped out 2to 3 times it doesnt grind shifts smooth but i dont know what caused that .... I have a short shifter could that be the trouble maker? Never happened till now

 

Check your fluid, that's the first sign usually of low gear oil.

 

If the MTF level is fine, then the sychro for 5th gear is likely worn out. The fix is to rebuild the transmission or replace it.

 

i had same problem and got oem honda tranny oil n filled it and eversince never pops out
