!GSR swap w/ broken fuel injector tip!
I have a Honda EK hatch with a GSR swap and skunk2 pro series intake manifold. I was having misfires and could smell gasoline around my injectors so I checked them and found that cylinder 1's injector had the tip broken off and it had fallen in.
I'm replacing my injectors and I'm curious if this is going to cause problems with my cylinder, or will it just burn up and not cause any headaches?
Thanks

Depends how big a chunk it was, but it shouldn't cause damage since it's just a tiny piece of plastic. I forget though, are integra injectors pintle or ball and seat style?
Here's a pic of how much of the tip broke off.

That will be ok, the pintle/plate part (metal) didn't break, it's just plastic, combustion chaber temps will practically evaporate that lol. You don't have to worry about chunks embedding in the piston/valve/seats, because they are so much harder then melted plastic lol.
^^^ I partially agree with dirtys statement. unless the plastic finds its way to the valve seat while the engine is still cold i.e. cold start. BUT i would like to think that the steel valve and the pressure from the springs will crush is but i just dont know. Although seeing as how you just discovered this and it has been misfiring id put my money on the plastic already being out of the engine.
If you found it that way, there is not telling when that broke off, nothing you can do about it anymore its prob long been burned away,
but if you want you can try and stick a small diameter vacuum hose in the spark plug hole and try sucking it clean
or if your on a mission to really make sure its out of there get you one of these

^^ lol I knew what was beyond the link before even clicking it, those things are awesome, my buddy had a snap-on one, they are so cool to just play with in every orifice you can fit it in (that wasn't sexual I swear! lol)
Oh yea it's definately passed through by now, running for even 30 seconds after breaking off, it's already made it's way out the exhaust ports. And you haven't had any problems.
