Default Annoying new motor problem

1990 Honda civic with a 1.5

Car ran great when I first got it, it was a little neglected so I did a complete tune up on it, spark plugs, dist cap, rotor, wires, and it ran good after that too. A couple weeks later I adjusted the valves to spec and ever since then, the car has had a bog from 1000 - 2200 rpm under power. i can rev it just fine, but if Im in 5th going down a flat road at 2000 rpm it will act like one of the cylinders is misfiring, the car will jerk. i've tried inspecting the wires and rotating all the plugs but nothing is helping. I wish I would have kept my old wires to see if it was an issue with that but I threw them away.

The car throws a CE light sometimes when its cold going high speeds on the freeway around 70mph. the light will not go off until I shut off the car. Sometimes I can pull to the side about a minute or two after the light comes on and turn it off, get back on the highway and i don't see it again. Any ideas?

I believe you turn the key and see how many times the ecu blinks. Sounds kind of like an o2 sensor
