so Ive been reading up on stuff since Ive had my accord and heard all kinds of statements claiming you are unable to install the 6 cylinder in the four cylinder body and other statements that you can. i would like to get some clarification on this so i know what direction to go with my build.

Sure you can, but why would you?

Specially when you can buy a 6th gen Accord with a J30 V6 already in it. It would be much easier and cost effective to sell your I4 Accord and buy a V6 Accord. If owning a V6 is your goal.

What is your budget? What is your goal for your car?

whoops i meant to say j35 sorry but my car has a salvage title so its not worth much and for certain reasons i cant sell it yet.

as for the reason for asking is my friend was planing on putting a j35 in his crx but due to personal stuff hes wanting to sell all his car stuff and i can get the j35 for dirt cheap all i would need is a cl trans to complete the 4th part of my checklist for my car and as for budget im not quite sure with the specifics but nothing like super outrageous ur not gonna see a fully built honda f1 engine in my car although it does sound fun to put in an s2k

my goals are to just have fun and learn with this car i was told that not alot of aftermarket parts are made for the 6th gen accords and not many people modify them so it made me want to get one

right now my parts list is:

ON THE CAR
Megan racing lowering springs
full 2.5 megan racing na exhaust
and custom built cold air intake:

parts ordering within the next year:
coilovers -most likley function&forms type 2

new motor -j35,f20b

rims and tires - sprint harts wraped in a good rubber dont know what purpose i want them for yet.

There is one guy who has the money and time who is swapping in a J series engine in his F23 bodied 6th gen accord coupe. He's on 6thgenaccord.com. Seems like a hassle and waste of money when you could just swap an H22 in your 4cyl accord and hit better power than the stock J series 3.0 engine. I've been watching his build and it seems like a lot of custom work. His screen name is Accordman722. I'd say trade the car in the a v6, however your car is salvaged and you would be trading an 5speed for an auto tragic crap box transmission. So unless you have the money for a 6 speed swap with the v6 I would stick to 4cyl 5 speed. You'd have to swap the transmission and engine as well as the ECU of the donor car if you went the v6 swap route. Or there is a swap magic harness you could purchase for 700 bucks, which is what I'm running.

The 3.2 / 3.5 engines are a huge upgrade than the Factory F23 and Factory J30, however like I said unless you have tons of money, time and know how I would stick with a tried and proven H22 or even the F20b build. You should join 6thgenaccord.com if you haven't already. Between v6performance.net and 6thgenaccord.com there is a huge amount of knowledgeable and experience there at your disposal.

If your lowering springs are on your stock struts then you should save up and do your suspension right. Get some full bodied coil overs with struts that are made for lowering.

I've owned my accord since early 2003 and I've researched, researched, researched, and researched since then.

H22 is the way to go if you are swapping your 4cy.
However, I would build a strong bottom end and head for the F23 and call it a day. Build up the transmission, better suspension, and a decent wheel and tire combo before I'd waste all that money trying to make the J35 work.

I am AllGOnoSHOW on 6thgenaccord.com and v6performance.net
