91 EF DX AUTO MATIC HELP ME
I have a 91 ef hatch dx with an AT and dual point injection. The motor just died. I want to swap it bc it is really hard to find this motor around me. what is the cheapest and easiest swap i can do.
Any D-series engine will work up till 98 I believe
To keep the DPFI (not suggested) just swap the intake manifold, or wire your existing harness for MPFI (suggested) you will need a new ECU for this I believe
or go for a DOHC ZC 130hp drops right in ECU & Wiring are required for this

OK. I got a book on honda swaps i picked up from autozone, its got alot of info in it. since my car is an AT can i use the shift linkage off any car since i have to cut the holes and mount it anyways?
If you're looking for a easy and cheap swap you can find a D15b2 or b7 and stay dual point and it'll all swap in with plug and play. If you wanna stay semi simple with some alittle more cash a DOHC ZC will require you to get another computer PM7 or PM6 and also the DPFI to MPFI wiring and the CYP sensor needs to be wired. B16 would cost you the most with tranny, engine, custom mounts, custom shift linkages, ECU, jumper harness to the ECU and dizzy and vtec silenoid and still DPFI to MPFI conversion. You can swap almost any D series to your auto tranny. Converting to manual should be not be a priotity right now until you know exacty what you wanna do first.

I found a d15 at a local you pull it for $120. 150 psi on all four cylinders. I got it put in and it runs perfect. I think the timing might need to be moved up a little bit, its shakes alittle when at idle. It idles at about 750 rpms.
