My first Integra build
Ive been absent from the forum for the last few weeks, sorry about that y'all. At some point I've posted that I came across a mint and unmolested 1990 Acura Integra GS with the basic B18a1 and a 5-speed manual with power interior and sunroof. Gray exterior and blue interior. Like I said, it was unmolested and completely 100% stock and adult owned. I am the 2nd owner.
Up to date I have done the following...
New windsheild...
New radiator after the old one had a hairline crack along the brackets that holds the electric fans in place (tried to fix it a few times, but gave up and replaced it after the seals kept blowing)...
Complete plastic coverings for the rear cargo area (not sure why these were removed)...
Rear wiper delete and plug...
Used half coilovers from a craigslist seller (Tokiko blue shocks and adjustable SPW coil springs)...
Junkyard hood / passenger fender / corner lense for turn signals...
Ebay 5-piece c-pillar bar, front and rear strut tower bars, and 2 LCA bars...
Sunroof rain deflector and rear hatch rain deflector...
For Christmas I was given a BWS tri-y small tube headers and HKS hi-power exhaust system and I used some Christmas money to buy myself an Injen short ram intake, none of these have been installed as I have yet to have time.
I have no major plans as of yet with this Integra, but came across an old friend from high school that has a built GSR thats sitting in his garage and opted to sell to me for a decent price since he went with a K-series swap. Buddy says it is a 98 GSR bottom end bored .5 over with a 2000 fully built head. Super tech dual titanium springs, Skunk2 titanium retainers, Blox stage2 cams same as Skunk2, Fast track cam gears and comes wit GSR hydro trans with both sides Cv axles.
While Im new to the scene, is $1700 a good deal for this set up? Im told all I would have to get is a newer clutch, a better wiring harness, an ECU and distributor....
Pictures below are my car when stock and what it looks like now.

I know, I know... I need wheels... Been having a hard time figuring out what I want. The Honda/Acura scene has been played out pretty well and is hard to stand out from others... Was thinking of keeping it simple and finding a set of fat-fives powdercoated gunmetal or a set of these:
Konig Lightning

Konig Backbone

Drag DR-23

Thoughts everyone???

That thing is clean as hell man nice pick up! I would go with the Drag wheels, I know them and the slipstreams are on everyone and their mother's cars, but imho they look so good on a DA, they just flow with the body line, the other two don't. I'm curious as to how the top wheels would look, I think they might look pretty good, but at the same time, maybe not. The second one's remind be of ricer pepboy wheels for some reason.

Yeah, I was thinking about how konigs are usually always heavy. Really I wouldn't put any of those on my car, but I think the slipstream/drags go best with the flow of the body. Black one's will look nice with that color DA.
If you own a DA, you're already starting to do it right
oldschool ftw! Some people just stop doing it right after purchasing their DA, makes me sad in pants.

its not perfect by any means, it is a 22 year old car so there are blemishes... for starters, theres a black hood and passenger fender, some dings here and there, the drivers door isnt aligned with the fender and "pokes" in a little bit, front bumper has some light surface damages, annnnnnd........ it reeks of cigarette smoke hah... but hey, its a work in progress!
thinking about painting the whole car factory color again sometimes this spring when the finances come together AND when i get the spray booth up and running again

You should repaint it the Evo MR gunmetal! The engine bay won't be too far off tone, and it will look sexy as hell, MR gunmetal is the original color I wanted to paint my car, but I found an even better, never been on a DA before, color.
It's not actually painted the color I want yet, it's still in poo paint mode. This is her for now.

And this is the color I want, I'm not going to reveal the paint code, since when I posted this picture in my build thread 2 poeple instantly said they wanted this color now, and then I was like.... I'll kill you... haha. I want mine to be the 1st and only DA this color.

Going with these wheels and color too.
