Rear drivers side door wont open
Just got my first Honda and I love it. I saved 2 additions from my previous car, rear speakers and the subs. I installed the speakers and purchased a new deck for my Honda. Only problem is that I am having difficulty running the wire to the trunk because my drivers side rear door wont budge! At first the lock wouldn't budge, but after I removed the door panel a pulled on the lock, it now works, with the power locks as well. It just seems that the door latch isn't turning and I don't know exactly what to do. I spoke with my supervisor at my job who knows about this supposed infamous problem with late 90's accords and civics. I was told that there was a certain point I need to drill lock and have it disengage, but am not quite sure where to start or if that is even accurate, is there any advice in opening the door? I will purchase a new door latch as soon as I find a reliable source such as a website or a walkthrough. Thank you for your time and a happy new year to you all!

The panel is still off and I have pulled the link many times, nothing happens. The spring still works when I let go and the linkage goes back into place, but the door stays closed. I even stuck my hand into the door and lifted the white plastic piece (which I presume will have to be the next piece that I remove in order to open the door) and nothing happens. I need to pick up some piece from a junkyard and replace the lock, I just don't want to drill the door and not be able to replace it and have to buy a new door.
