i have read honda specific and ive read wires in general..ive read to an extent longer or shorter should have no affect..ive read in a honda forum it can affect....reason im askin and want to make clear is im tucking my engine harness and i starting stripping the wire by the alternator plug (obd2b) and theres one wire that runs the opposite way i need to go...runs to the headlight plug..i would have to extend it alot lol i know to use the same guage...thanks

difference is negligible unless its for sensitive equipment, such as distributor sensors. For long runs going to 1 size larger gage wire will usually negate the added resistance of the extra length, if you're really concerned.
