Default Monroe Econo-Matic....just say no.

I replaced my front struts using Monroe Econo-Matic all-in-one Strut/Spring units from RockAuto and I hate them. They don't absorb any bumps whatsoever. They only time they seem to do anything is when I go over a large dip, where the front end of the car drops considerably. In this scenario, they seem to do a good job of not letting the suspension bottom out but when it comes to other bumps or potholes, they don't do chit. Even the small reflectors in the road, seem to come across to the steering wheel as if I was driving around on just the wheels without tires. I have checked my tire pressures and they are just as they have been since I got had the car. They suck. I'm gonna spend a little bit more on the rear struts whenever I get around to replacing those soon. Any recommendations? My car is stock height.

Also getting ready to replace my engine mounts.
