Icon2 PARTS IDENTIFICATION H22A

Need names of parts on the H22A,------
To the left of the distributor and in front of the rubber valve cover plug there is an aluminum cast housing with a smaller cast part bolted to it all bolted to the head next to the disributor. the smaller cast part has an electrical metal cylindrical diaphragm(dont know what this is?) right under the plugwires next to the distibutor, and on the larger casting there is another electrical switch(need to know what this is for as well). it the only part/s bolted to the head next to the disributor with the two sensors...
need the know what the sensors are and what that housing they bolt into is called so i can get the gasket, there seems to be oil coming from this part. need to fix....
i would appreciate any useful information, cant seem to find it on the internet or the manual

The main part is the spool valve body, solenoid on top is the VTEC solenoid and the switch on the side is the VTEC oil pressure switch.

If you have a leak then just buy the VTEC solenoid gasket and spool valve gasket.

#18 and #16 in that pic, if you go to the dealer and tell them you need the 2 gaskets for the VTEC then they should know what you're talking about, common leak.

appreciate you getting back to me, i ended up doin some research and found out the part, installed the new one and still have a slight oil leak coming from it, the guy at the dealership said the housing bolts were torqued at 9lbs. so i tightened them a little more about 15lbs.

any other prone parts besides the oil cooler o ring and the valve cover gasket, that potentially leak or cause leaks,

The rubber cam cap, the distributor shaft o-ring, oil pan gasket, axle seals on the diff. I have also had some issues with the o-rings on either side of the water pipe on the back of the engine, only new oem rings have fit correctly for me.

Brake or carb cleaner is your friend ...

Spray everything down while the motor is cold and go run some errands, then get under it. This will help you narrow down where the leaks are.

^This, I wouldn't just blindly start replacing anything unless you see it leaking. Any rubber seal will leak given time, just seems common on these cars because of their age.
