Default 5 or 6 17 mm bolts honding a ef trans to block?

trying to do a clutch job myself but I cant seem to pry the trans off of the block.
I pulled out 5 bolts that connected the trans to the block.all my buddys said theres only 5, but i saw on here that somebody said theres 6.
i looked and looked and cant find shiz.
ive been hammering screwdrivers to seperate the trans from the block and no luck.. job was kinda easy until this shiz...
one buddy said it could be a rusty imput shaft. and another said that it must be in reverse to come out, but another buddy said that it doesnt matter what gear its in to come out....
any help would be great.

There is one bolt that faces the opposite direction than all of the others. It is near the shift linkage on the trans. Good Luck.

I think you are missing the bolt that comes through the enging into the tranny around where the axle is.

One starter bolt goes into the engine.

Do you have the dust shield off from underneath the car?

And lastly the trans may be stuck on the dowel pins.

yes ofcourse the starter is off and the flywheel "dust cover" is off as well..
but somebody said yes theres 6 bolts... what am i missing?
and i heard that the imputshaft could be rusted causing it to seize.
does it have to be in a certain gear aswell?

I was just asking about stuff to try to help you.
I just went and checked a D series in my garage and got 5 17 mm bolts plus the starter bolt.
Gear you have car in won't make any difference at all
It is possible that the input shaft could be rusted to the clutch disc and that could be stopping the trans from coming off.
Last thought is have you got the rear mount bracket unbolted?

Then I think you have everything unbolted and tranny should come off.

5 bolts. You should try jiggling the clutch release arm, that was what held mine together for some reason

No, it's always easy when you know what you are doing. EF's are the simplest to work on... Sell it if you hate it so someone else can enjoy it. Have you trying using a pry bar? How about a jack to stabilize it? Something that can happen on ALL vehicle with manual transmissions is the input shaft splines can rust to the clutch. So you can't even split it or you can't get it to come off?

PS - Bad grammar has nothing to do with being tired or drunk for that matter. Typically you have it to begin with - apology accepted.
