Blink codes for 91 crx
Does anyone know the codes for the older ecu in 91 crx model?
I believer they are otherwise known as blink codes?
I've done some research but i cant find a manual that will tell me
what each blink means
For mine the clear lense under the passenger floorboard blinks red 4 times
Blink Blink Blink Blink, PAUSE, repeat
EDIT: So i found this on one website and 4 blinks according to CRX Resource means
4 90-98 88-98 88-91 85-98 CKP Sensor (Crankshaft Position Sensor) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
What does this mean and where would i find this sensor?

Ok so step 1 would be to open up the distributor and check for bad wiring.
step 2. check CPS?
for this i have a 1st gen b16a out of a integra si older model 88-91
would the sensor be located behind the main pulley?

i forget which sensor is what, under the cap you'd have to look up a diagram.
the wiring problems would be on the clips on the outside of the dizzy, check for cracked or disconnected wiring. if that's not the case, you might need a new dizzy.
or you could try to swap in the sensor from the b16 dizzy. its the same.

So! this is what i've found out so far... i turn my ignition on and 1 short flash indicated that my ecu has power. Then 5 seconds after the initial "power" flash comes 4 short blinks and according to this website (http://www.teirney.net/civic/ECUErrorCodes.htm) a short flash or blink indicates 1 code. Along blink indicates 10 so in my case 4 short flashes indicates code 4.
If im correct that means that my ecu is picking up a bad CKP or crankshaft position sensor. I'm going to replace this and see what happens
