Default Momo horn button with after market horn, where did I go wrong? Pics inside.

I followed this:
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-accord-1990-2002-2/how-wire-horn-nrg-short-hub-2402541/

And the pics..
Inserted the power wire in the correct slot according to the article and hooked up the ground supplied with the hub.

And the orange horn plug for my autozone horn.

Autozone horn with ground connected and open prong for horn plug..

And....you've not said what's wrong.

The horn doesn't work? Fuses blowing? Magic smoke? What?

No blown fuses or any melted wires just can't get a honk out of her.. I got this car with no horns and no horn button just the wheel and quick release. Also the instructions that came with the autozone horn talks about a one and two horn setup and I'm just trying to get away with one on the driver side. Seems like it should be a straight forward job.

Have someone press the button while you check for power at the horn/connector.

Good idea but at this point who knows if the problem is at the horn or the steering wheel

Does your horn actually work? Get ear protection and wire directly to battery.

There's a second connector somewhere in the engine compartment which will probably be a different color. That missing connector has the power feed wire , which is probably white/green.

Both connectors hook up to the horn. The horns don't ground through themselves, they ground through the horn relay.

That makes sense according to the diagram in my Haynes manual but the only other wires I can find are the other red/blue passenger side horn wire and a solid black wire next to it located near the passenger blinker

That's why I told you to check for power, if there isn't power at the connector then it's at the wheel, if there is power, then it is the horn. Just do it sonnnn!

That's the same diagram I've got. You definitely need that wht/grn wire; that's where the power comes from.

It's been a while since I did a horn, so I'm probably remembering wrongly about the two connectors.

You likely have a single connector with two wires, but one of the wires is missing. Are there two conductors in the front of the connector?

Either way, you have the wiring diagram with wire colors and power distribution, so you should be able to work this out. Unless somebody's monkeyed with the wiring and cut the wht/grn wire off...

Do I see aftermarket connectors to the left of your hand in this pic? Somebody probably cut off the wht/grn wire.

In the diagram it looks like the w/g comes from the horn relay, and the underhood fuse box as well. Find the w/g wire coming out of those and trace it from there to find where it ends and where it's hiding lol

Are there two conductors inside the orange connector? Or does it look like there used to be two?

If you got the car without horns, did you check to see if the horn relay is still in the car?94
