Default Car Dies at Idle After Long Drive?

Hey Guys,

1995 RS

So, around town...anywhere really she drives like a champ. Yesterday I had to drive a couple hundred miles. On my way home, right as traffic picked up the following happened:

- 75 up the highway, traffic hits...as soon as I come to a stop the car idles out and dies, it happened once. And only when I was at a dead stop. Starts right back up though, and drives fine again once up to normal speed. I spent the hour in traffic w/the e-brake on and reving the car at about 1k to keep her running when traffic wasn't moving. When traffic broke up and highway speeds were back to normal the car drove perfectly fine.

Additionally- On the first leg of the trip (did about 300 miles round trip) the "maint req'd" light went on. <- sure this does not have to do with my issue.

I'm going to do the plugs, cap, wires etc this weekend as she just needs some love, but would anyone know why this would be happening?...any ideas or help would be fantastic as usual!

Cheers.

I would yank the IAC off and give it a quick cleaning with some carb cleaner, could very well be suspect, especially if she's got a decent amount of miles on her. Couldn't hurt anyways, and would help rule out another issue.
