Default HELP: GsR motor into Crx

im picking up a 94 Gsr motor next week. the motor wont go in until everything is straightened out but either way im picking it up. i already have an LS b18a1 obd0 in it. my question is besides the obd0 to obd1 conversion harness and the ecu is there anything else i would need.

I'm pretty sure everything you need can be swapped over, but double check your homework on the drivers side mount (engine -> mount). You'll also have to wire in VTEC and the IAB stuff (if running stock gsr intake mani). What swap mounts are you currently running?

Also, be prepared to cut the webbing or space your hood as the GSR is a bit taller than your current LS.

You need to use the LS post mount on the driver's side.

I assume you are keeping the cable transmission and just swapping engines? If not, that changes quite a few things.

I am a bit confused here. Even if the bracket that goes to from the engine to the motor mount is different. Can't he just swap that bracket between the engines, and still use the other motor mount?

This is only if you have hasport mounts, some other mounts do not require this change.

That's why I simply told him to check the drivers mount as I remembered having to do something different when I swapped mine. Same when I asked what mounts he's using.

all the accessories can be used from your obd0 engine to run your obd1 gsr.

dont forget to change the obd0 post mount over to the gsr engine as the mounting location for the mounts will be different.

You'll also want an OBD0-1 distributor adapter if you don't already have one. Plus wiring for VTEC, knock and IAB's. What ECU are you going to be using?

I propped mine ever so slightly. Not a fan of jeopardizing the structural integrity of my hood considering I've had at least 3 close friends have it fly up doing better than 55mph.... didn't turn out so well for them.

Could just pick up another harness. I wish I had done this when the GSR was still out and on the pavement so I could re-route some of the wiring and tuck most behind the block up under the IM.
