Convert to rear wheel drive? and your exhaust has to be bigger then 2", I run an Apexi and they are about 2 1/4" in diameter and up. Good luck with your build but I think your goal of a 10 second quater mile car is a little unreasonable.

Oh, and welcome to Honda-tech. You may find the "search" tool very helpful, there are many people that have good right-ups and how-to's on building power.

10 sec. is do-able but only for a dedicated, track-only car. And it's not something you just call in parts for and hit the track -- it takes a lot of knowledge and experience.

If you want a DD maybe 12 sec is more reasonable. Or get an old Mustang or something with a big engine.

You've stated your performance goals, now think about your budget and see where they converge.

If this is your first serious build, stick to DD. Get a RWD car or something that already has 5k into it so you can build off of that to track.

My tip is to research a little and use some periods and commas.

And you are going to have to fish out an assload of dough to convert it to RWD. Don't waste your time with that. And it is VERY hard, and EXPENSIVE to get a honda in the 10's on a regular persons budget.

guys you have to realize this most people that post these threads are just dreamers and will never actually do what they say usually its the people that reaserch than do it and post it are the ones that get it done like the dude that was on here that took a Mustang cobra cut it up slapped a Integra body onto it and now has a sweet *** ride

also the civette is another example

If you have to ask you won't ever get it done. None of it. I've never been proven wrong.

I'm still tripping out on the "tips and tricks" and then "first serious build" but then says stuff like "blue coilover spring (wha?), supercharger, turbo, ten-second car" and "rear wheel drive" and thinks because he put on a 2000 rear bumper that he has "background".
