J.B. weld it is your last resort anyways but unless the crack is bone dry it would't work.Try it anyways, you have got nothing to loose, just keep an eye on the fluid level.
It's not even to drain the fluid,It's to drain the fluid and run some cleaner(brake cleaner or throttle body cleaner)through the crack before you can seal it,unfortunately.Speaking from experience, bad experience.
If you REALLY want to do the job properly, your going to have to drain the fluid. But if its not too bad I wouldn't even worry about it, just add some fluid every once in awhile and keep an eye on it. You can re-use the fluid it if you want... But I wouldn't recommend it..
You could drain all the fluid out. Get that epoxy off with a grinder of some sort. Get to the source of that leak. IF it is a crack..you can dry it up good and if you have some porting tools, like carbide burrs, you can grind a little bit into the crack, clean it up real good and then JB Weld that area with a moderate amount of epoxy. A TIG weld would be even better! But i doubt you have that...
JB Weld has been recommended by AHM (American Honda) for porous aluminum blocks. Using this same method I just described. :-) Good luck.

Ok well. If i do drain it, it only loses half the fulid right? If so.. I dont know what was in it before. And it says. ONLY USE HONDA ATF... So... Can i mix honda atf with whatever was in it?

If you don't know what was in it you probably never changed the
fluid.I would put DEXTRON#3 just to see if it worked if yes ,the drain and fill "flush still" leaves about 2 liters inside.

Ill prolly just get 4q of honda atf and go for it.
only use honda atf fluid on these transmissions. get rid of the old jb weld with sand paper or a grinder. clean the area with some brake cleaner. use rough sand paper to roughen up the area and then jb weld it again on the crack and around it but only where you cleaned.
