i have an 05 ep3. I was about to get an aem v2 intake but was informed that it is not ca legal. and i really am scared of water with a cai but i want best gains. or would a ram be best? im looking for the best of the best in the intake world. but obviously want it legal. any advice?

 

also i want to get a carbon hood. how would a ram air act with a ram scoop in the hood or a mesh slot?

 

it has already been well documented that the Injen CAI is the best intake for the EP. If you are concerned about hydrolock Injen has a shield thing for it. Just be careful not to drive through huge puddles and you should be ok.

 

Just keep all your bottom body panels on and get the hydroshield and stop being a worry bird. If you want the best get a CAI and a pair of ***** hahaha j/k just don't go through a river. It really takes a good amount of water to hydrolock. Like submerging the filter in a puddle. Or do like I use to and keep a home made SRI for super rainy days and swap quick on the fly.
