seam welding unibody frame on 92 hb
anyone ever done this to their daily driver? not alot like you see in the major racers, just in some key places to strengthen the rigidity of the chassis up.
lol, I just have the equipment and was curious about if anybody else had given it a try, what key area's to hit, ones to stay away from cause it would just be overkill, etc............

Never heard of it being done on a daily driver. Too much work, with all the gutting of trim and scraping of paint. Not worth the effort on anything short of an all out race car.
lol, my car is completely stripped at this point(tires and a dashboard, no doors, fenders, hood, etc), it is being painted at the paint booth, so really the only stripping extra would be the underbody tarring they put underneath the car.
on that note...how hard is it to pull all that tar off?
I guess it also acts as a sealant to protect the metal, so you'd have to paint over it?

Like a lot of street car modifications, it doesn't matter whether it makes sense or not. If you want to do it, do it.

I say go for it. If you really have all the necessary tools, and you get good at it, you could sell your services to others. Regardless of whether or not its necessary on a street car, its a learning experience.
To get off the tar from the bottom of the car... sandblaster
I just bought a sandblaster & dyamn! That thing will rip off skin from a diamond. Just make sure you get the right grit of sand.
