Default H23A to H22A questions.

I have a 95 prelude SI h23A and the timing belt broke. Rather than rebuilding the head I have just decided to purchase a complete new engine. If I choose to go to the h22a vtec do I need to change out the transmission as well?

I will be using this car as a daily driver. About 50 miles round trip. I will not be putting the engine or tranny under heavy load. Any feed back would greatly be appreciated.

I am a noob when it comes to this stuff.

Thanks,
Phil E

The transmission that you have will work.

Is it the same transmission used in both models?

And should I be able to pass smog with a straight swap?
