I ordered a AEM intake and it doesn't fit my 96 civic so is it bad if i modify it?

AEM's are different for manual and auto cars.

Send it back. Get the correct part. There's no reason you should need to modify it at all. You have a common vehicle.

 

the previous owner did a motor swap and i stupidly forgot. i decided to keep it and change a couple things for it to fit. i want to do a motor swap later on to a b16 and the intake would fit that engine so i just decided to hold on til then.

 

i bought it new. Thank you everyone i put it in and it works fine.
