96 accord lx cooling problems help please

Default 96 accord lx cooling problems help please

My accord has a few probs the timming belt is goin gettin it dne the wiring harness for fans was rigged when bought car so fans died had firestone fix wiring harness since day one I have noticed the temp gage works but never moves past the middle mark an there is no fluid in ratiator the resovar is full but radiator is bone dry I afraid that there is a big underline prob y origanal owner rigged fans help please I would b greatfull for any advice I have already put over $1500 into the car after payin 4900 for it

Please correct your spelling and grammer. Hard to understand w/o reading it twice and you will get fewer responses.

The #1 reason why people rig the fans is because the relay went out and don't have time or knowledge to trace down the culprit. Most of the time it is the relay. Easier to replace that than rig some wires.

I checked all the relays and fuses inside the car and outside the are all good

Well, fill the rad and find the leak. BTW, the temp gauge on most all 5th gen's I've seen never get over half with a working system (call normal a 3:30~4:00 reading on the gauge)...but the rad being low sounds like you have a small leak, you need to find and repair before it becomes a bigger leak and you overheat ther engine.

If you are having the t-belts done SOON, of course have them replace the waterpump while there......this "might" be the source but don't bet on it.

Im back i need more advice i still have the 1996 accord lx sedan 4 cylinder non vtec with 151k ok so now its got a low idle i would say 500rpm an has got really bad gas millage now i have change plugs an wires motor sounds not as rough but did not help idle or gas issue what can i do and I have noticed that when I shift from park to od4 it bangs once then 5 seconds later I feel slight bang aswell what can cause this an how can I fix it please help this car is used to transport my 3 month old.son
