2000 Accord Auto Trans slipping a little, looking to prolong, no replace right now.
Hey fellas, I bought a 2000 Accord EX for toy with. I'm not looking to spend a bunch of money on a trans. It's slipping a little on a rare occasions.
What's the best treatment to prolong the lide?
Honda Stuff, or should I try the Trans-X?

No additives. 1) Drain the trans, fill with Honda DW-1 ATF. Drive 100 miles. 2) Drain the trans again, fill with Honda DW-1 ATF. Drive 100 miles. 3) Drain the trans again, fill with honda DW-1 ATF. Do this every 20,000 - 30,000 miles.
This DW-1 is a new formula Honda came out with after the Z1 ATF transmission fluid. You'll need about 10 quarts so you can get all the old fluid out of the torque convertor and whole transmission. This is the best way I know how to keep these transmission's alive. I have 180,000 mi. on mine and that's how I did it.
