Default Compression ratio

right now I have a b16 with wiseco 9.5:1 pistons in it. I'm running it all motor for awhile until I can save up for a turbo kit. It's pretty slow right now with the low compression but if I was to deck the head and put a 2 layer head gasket on there what would it bring my compression up to? An would I be able to tell a difference?

Leave it be. Shouldn't have went that low compression anyway.. With the advancements in tuning and parts, people are getting smarter and running high compression turbo setups. This means Less boost = more power, the turbo becomes more efficient at lower boost levels because of the higher compression.

11:1 @ 12 psi will make more power then a 9:5 setup @ the same boost level.

Yea I realize that now. Back when I built it I wasn't planning on it being a dd just a track car so I was planning on running a higher level of boost

11:1 is pretty stout. How high compression can you go with stock rods and cast pistons?

Leave it how it is and just wait on the boost...worried about being slow, should have completed it while it was out. Who cares about being "fast" anyways?
