Lever won't open trunk
Looking for a little help with my '01 Coupe...
I can open the trunk with the key, emergency release, and with the remote, but the lever by the driver's seat doesn't pull the cable enough to release the latch. Almost like the cable has stretched over time. I already adjusted it all I can on the latch side but a little concerned about pulling apart the lever on the floor to look for more adjustments.
Any tips on pulling the floor lever apart or is there no adjustment to be found there?
Looks like the key cylinder just pops out, but I don't want to screw up what already works and the gas cap release.

Are you positive the cable is being actuated, and excersicing enough to pull the latch?
Have you witnessed the latch working via the cable?
Possibly the latch actuator in the trunk is damaged/worn and no longer works.
