Default 2002 Accord won't start - battery charged

2002 Accord SE 4 cyl. - 202K miles

Got in to start it last night....all instrument lights came on, interior light, headlights work - won't turn over.

I can hear 2 clicks underneath the steering wheel when I turn key to Start position.

I got under hood and had a friend turn key for me - I could hear the starter solenoid click once when key is turned to Start position.

I don't think it's related, but I just changed the oxygen sensors this weekend. Once was bad - replaced them both while I was at it.

I tried tapping the starter with a small hammer, but that didn't help. Cleaned battery posts and cables. Attempted jump start from another vehicle. Still nothing.

Any suggestions?

Much appreciated.

Green key light on the dash is doing????

Do you have a volt meter, when trying to start the car, what is the voltage on the small wire going to the starter?

YEAH - there is a green key light flashing. I tried starting with the Valet key, but that didn't work either.

I have a volt meter, but haven't checked the voltage to the small wire. Can do, though.

I just searched for the Green Key Light on the forum, but still reading through the search. What does that mean? Should I try starting with my wife's key?

Key to on (not to start, on or pos II), the green key light should come on and then go off.

Okay - green light goes off just as it should.

Volt meter on the small wire on starter is showing about 9 volts when key is in Start position. And I can hear the solenoid click.

I put a load tester on the battery. It shows 12volts but goes to Weak (10 volts) when under a load. Don't think this should affect it, though as I had it connected to a good battery last night (jumping it) trying to rule that out.

Think it's the starter?

I'd have them (Bat and starter) both tested.....and I'm sure you have the radio code if it is the factory radio.

If you've got 9 volts at this "s" terminal of the starter while cranking and nothing happens, you need a starter.
