hey all, I have a 95 integra ls and am having a bizzarre problem. once the car is warmed up if you give the car throttle to accelerate the car shudders violently. when this happens the car has a severe lack of power and when at a stop the idle fluctuates. when the problem initially started it was only an issue between 2500-3500 rpm, and once you got higher into the revs it went away. now however, once the car begins shuddering the problem persists all through the rev band. i initially thought that it may be a bad o2 sensor so i changed that to no luck.
flashing out the code gave me i believe a 41 (o2 heater sensor) but it could have been a code 5, which would be a bad map sensor.(when reading the code i am aware that a long flash =10 short flash=1, although the first 4 flashes did not seem very long the last flash was noticeably shorter), the 41 would make sense as i the car flashed a code while i was changing the o2 sensor. the car never threw a CEL under normal driving however.
i am trying to avoid throwing hundreds of dollars in sensors at the car so any insight you guys have would be awesome!

 

How's the fuel pressure?

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?

Have you checked/tested the TPS?

Does this, [shuddering] happen once engine is warmed up or even when cold? 94

shuddering happens only when the engine is warm, fuel filter was changed about 2 months ago.

have not checked tps or fuel pressure yet, dont have a fuel pressure tester but may be able to check the tps tonight...
